Tour Al Ain, an oasis and former caravan stop built on a huge fertile plain. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on this tour. Al Ain is about 100 kilometres from the city of Dubai. Proceed to the archaeologically important Hili tombs dating back 5000 years. These are circular in shape and built of stone. The dead were buried in these chambers together with objects and personal items. The archaeological objects uncovered during the excavations of Hili tombs date to the 3rd millennium BC. The tomb is surrounded by a marvellous botanical garden. Find out more about the history of the Bedouins which is well displayed in the largest museum of the Emirates, the Al Ain Museum . The museum is divided into two categories: Ethnographical and Archaeological. The Ethnographical section contains artefacts such as traditional garments household items and utensils, and gold and silver jewellery that reflect the customs and traditions of the Bedouin people of the region. The Archaeological section displays finds from discoveries made throughout the Emirates from the past three decades. Along the way, stop for lunch at a local restaurant (cost not included). Further on, proceed to the traditional camel market at Al Ain, which gives the town a special rustic atmosphere.
