The Temples of Karnak & Luxor

The jewels of Luxor’s East Bank, the spectacular Temples of Karnak and Luxor form the largest and most impressive temple complex in Egypt.

The Temples of Karnak and Luxor were once connected by a grand avenue lined with sphinxes. A huge statue of Ramses II stands guard over the sacred Luxor Temple and beyond its entrance you can view the courtyard of Ramses II, the small temple of Tutmose III and various side chapels depicting scenes of battles and religious ceremonies.
